Custom fields

Custom fields are data sheet or contact fields, which you can define if you need to store something that has no predefined field.

You can add custom descriptions to these fields.

Custom fields can be defined by clicking on the Custom field setup button at a datasheet or contact entry:

Here you have 12 text fields and 4 date field you can modify.

There are two kinds of custom fields
  1. One which uses drop down list from previously entered items
  2. One which uses a simple text field for editing

Let's say you want to store the latitude and longitude of the client.

You need two custom fields for that:

After setting the two fields now you will be able to fill out the entry:

Note: Custom fields are set to a language. If you change the software language you may not see the previously set custom field description. If you plan to use the software in multiple languages, be sure that you fill the custom field description for every language you wish to use.
